Prize Money

Overall Prize money winner can be an Overseas or an Indian runner.
In case an Indian athlete finishes in the overall Top 3, they will be entitled to the higher prize money across Overall Top 3/Indian Top 5
Prize money will be processed within 7 working days after receiving final doping test results
Prize money mentioned above are subject to applicable tax deductions in accordance with the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961
Race results announced on race day will be 'provisional'. Final results and entitlement to prize money shall be subject to the rules mentioned herein and the Race Regulations.
Only those marathon runners confirmed by the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon Team as an elite runner with designated BIB starting their race at the official marathon elite start time on Sunday, 25th August will be entitled to be considered for prize money.
Finish positions of the elite marathon runners will be based on gun time only. Chip time will not be considered for the finish positions of elite runners.
Course Record Bonus prize will be awarded to the Indian male and female elite runners setting a new course record. Current Course Records: Men - 02 Hrs 23 Mins and 38 Secs and Women - 02 Hrs 50 Mins and 25 Secs.
Elite athletes must cross the start line within 90 seconds of gun start time to be eligible for timings, rankings, and thereby prize money.

In addition to the above, entitlement to finish positions and prize money winnings are also subject to -

Bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats.
Physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras
Athletes found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others, will be disqualified from the competition. Such athletes shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
Prize money and bonus winnings are subject to applicable Indian Income Tax Rules, and the same would be borne by the winner.

The elite athlete and/or his/her authorized representative can appeal to the Jury of Appeal (Available at the Elite Tent at the Finish point) in relation to the official race results declared, in writing, within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the results on race day. Results will be put up at the elite athlete tent.
The protest form (available at the Elite Tent at the Finish Area) needs to be submitted at the Elite Result Appeals Desk outside the elite athlete tent.

The Jury of Appeal shall deliver its decision within 2 Hours of filing the appeal. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final and there shall be no further right of appeal.

For Marathon Race (42.195Kms) Category there is no separate Overall Winners Prizes apart from the Elite Runners Prizes.

All runners registered in the general category (non-elite runners) are considered for this award.
Gross timing is considered for the runners for finish time for prize money (Runners need to ensure to stand at the frontline of the race)
Ranks/Position declarations are based on Provisional Timing, & may change post-due diligence (in each race category).
In case a Half Marathon or 10K age category winner falls within the overall Top 3 finish positions based on his/her gun time, he/she will retain the winning position of the relevant age category though he/she will be entitled to the higher prize money of Overall Top3 Finisher.

In addition to the above, entitlement to finish positions and prize money winnings are also subject to -

Any confirmed runner of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2024 can lodge a dispute in relation to the official race results of age category or overall finishers’ finish positions declared after the race.
Your dispute on race results must be emailed to info@marathonhyderabad.com
Only the dispute mail received during the provisional results period will be entertained.

A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the dispute within 14 working days of receiving the dispute mail. The decision will be intimated to the person lodging the dispute and shall be updated on the timing results website if applicable.
Organizers’ decision is final on the finisher rankings and prize winners

Awards/Prize money disbursal within 60 days from the event date.
Chip timing of the runners is considered for finish time for prize money
Runners starting the run after 15 minutes of the start time are not considered for the award
Videography at multiple points to evaluate runner's timing info.
Organizers’ decision is final on the finisher rankings and prize winners.

Any confirmed runner of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2023 can lodge a protest in relation to the official race results in relation to overall and/or age category finish positions declared after the race.

Only the protest letters received on or before Thursday, 31st August 2023, will be entertained.

A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest within 14 working days of receiving the Protest Letter. The decision will be intimated to the person lodging the protest and shall be featured on the event website, where in favorable.
Organizers’ decision is final on the finisher rankings and prize winners.
